Renate is the Founder of Meeno: the relationship advice app, powered by generative AI. Meeno is backed by Sequoia Capital, Andrew Ng’s AI Fund and Tony Fadell. Previously the CEO of Tinder, Renate left the company to focus on the challenge of loneliness - one of the greatest crises of our time. Meeno’s personalised and private advice helps deepen all close relationships - from friendships, to romance. After launching in the Nordics and Holland, young adult men comprise over 60% of Meeno users. Renate’s two decades in tech have focused on growth and real-world impact. Renate grew Tinder to $1.7 billion in subscription revenues, and led key initiatives around trust & safety. She launched the international business at mental health app, Headspace, and led the multi-billion App Store subscription business in Europe for Apple. Renate is of Norwegian and Dutch origin and has worked in California, England, Sweden, France and Switzerland. Today she is based in San Francisco. She is a Philosophy graduate of Cambridge University.
